Dr Jim Forrer
Dr Jim Forrer initially studied Philosophy and Economics at University College London, but then went on to completed his medical degree in 2005. He undertook GP training in Exeter and including an additional year of study completing a Masters in Public Administration at Exeter University. Having been a Partner since 2012, he is currently the child safeguarding lead for the Practice. Jim is both a trainer of new GPs and an Appraiser of existing GPs.
In addition to seeing patients at Claremont, Dr Forrer works for the National NHS GP Sustainability Team as part of NHS Quality Improvement and is part of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneurship Programme. Jim leads a £1.8 million NHS project bringing digital technology into General Practice in the local area and is Vice Chair of East Devon Health Federation.
He plays guitar and piano and enjoys marathon running and mountain biking.
Normal days of work: Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Friday.
