Dr Lisa Gibbons

Primary qualifications: MBChB(Hons) Edinburgh 1998, MA(Cantab) Cambridge 1995, MRCP, MRCGP, DTM&H, DFFP, DRCOG.
Dr Gibbons trained at Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities graduating in 1998. She worked for six years in hospital medicine in Edinburgh and Glasgow with a special interest in Infectious Diseases and did further training in Tropical Medicine at Liverpool University.
A practicing GP since 2004, Dr Gibbons has led research in primary care and has trained medical students at Exeter University where she is an Honorary Fellow. She is the Primary Care Research Lead for the South West Peninsula Clinical Research Network and holds a national research role supporting the use of IT for research in General Practice. She also leads on clinical governance for out of hours GP care in the region. She joined Claremont Medical Practice in 2017, where she co-leads the research team.
Dr Gibbons enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and three children.
